Yesterday I reported on the sighting of a white PS3 in the wild, but today comes news of an entire rainbow of Sony consoles — an unofficial rainbow, of course. At first, we were merely alerted to the presence of a rather fetching yellow PS3, posted on eBay and currently available for an insane US $1,980.0. You thought the original PS3 was expensive? Try one the color of custard.
The XSS Corporation isn’t stopping at banana PS3s, however, and is currently selling a Red, Blue, Pink, and Green version of everyone’s favorite third generation Sony console. They all cost the kind of money that only a fool or a nobleman would pay, so if you want one, you better get really rich or really stupid. Preferably both.
I’m not even sure how good they’ll actually look, considering the pictures appear to be conceptual designs only. If you really need a bright PS3 that badly, I’d suggest you just crack out the spraypaint and give it a go yourself. You’d still feel pretty dumb, but a damn sight smarter than the fool who bids on any of these things.
