The Smash week started off with new Pokemon Bonsly. Players are to pick Bonsly up and throw it at opponents. Even if your damage meter is around 50%, Bonsly can still send you flying off of the stage. On Tuesday, a new mode called Rotation was revealed. It’s basically a way for up to 16 players to play a game of Brawl on one Wii.

Wednesday brought a double update starting off with the Ice Climber’s theme music. The second update revealed the Options menu. The main menu was revealed as well, but the focus was on the option menu. You can change your screen resolution, turn on/off rumble, balance the sound, mess around with the game’s music, and a few other things you would expect in an options menu are all here.

On Thursday, a new stage based of Mario Kart was revealed. It’s basically like F-Zero’s stage from Melee, except there are Shy Guys on karts racing around. Today’s update was another double update both focusing on Assist Trophies. The first Assist Trophy was Waluigi. It’s a shame he’s not going to be an actual fighter, but Nintendo has yet to put him in an actual adventure game so it’s understandable. He runs around the stage kicking and whacking people with his tennis racket. The other Assist Trophy was for Nex Stafy! He looks extremely cute and has some strong looking attacks too. Unlike most Assist Trophies though, Stafy can be attacked.

My highlight of the week is the Mario Kart stage. It’s about time a stage on Mario Kart was put into this series. What did you think of this week’s updates?
