While we’re still in the dark about what February will bring in terms of Rock Band downloadable content, the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine has revealed what’s in store for March. While Kotaku’s Luke Plunkett seems disappointed by the selections (complaining about the lack of album downloads, that many of the songs are by bands that are already in the game, and that a few are covers), but I think there’s quite a bit to be excited about here.

Week one brings us a pack of "thrash" songs, by the likes of bands like At the Gates and The Haunted. For those who complained about the lack of "heavy stuff" in Rock Band, there you go; my only problem is that while I’m sure they’d be a blast to play, have fun listening your friends struggle through the vocals during a mystery set list.

The second week brings some more classic rock including the Guitar Hero II favorite, The Police’s "Message in a Bottle" (which I was just telling my wife needed to be Rock Band, stopping just short of calling Harmonix to demand it). Week three is a Nine Inch Nails pack, featuring the "should be fun on the drums" "March of the Pigs." And finally, week three is a metal pack, with some Black Sabbath ("Supernaut"), Iron Maiden ("Wrathchild"), and the questionable Metallica track "Fuel."

Hit the jump for the full list.
