Smash fanatics in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and New York area will have a chance to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl before the release of the game. 256 people in each city will square off with one another in a one-on-one, single-elimination style tournament hosted by Best Buy and Nintendo. The winners from San Francisco, L.A. and Boston will then be flown out to New York for the final multiplayer battle with some fantastic prizes.

First place winner of the tournament will win a crystal-coated Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and a home theater system from Best Buy. Second place gets a Wii, Wiimote, Brawl and $1,000 Best Buy gift card. Third place gets a Wii, Wiimote, Brawl and $500 from Best Buy. Fourth place will get a Wii, Wiimote, Brawl and $250 from Best Buy. Finally, everyone that participates in the tournaments will each receive a $10 Best Buy gift card.
