This week’s VC releases: Milon’s DokiDoki Adventure and Puyo Puyo 2
Posted by: in Wii NewsAfter last week’s VC release of just one title, we’re back to what looks to be the new standard two releases per week. At first glance, it looks like it was going to be a week of cute like games. But then I got to thinking and realized that both of these games are evil!
First up, we have DoReMi Fantasy: Milon’s DokiDoki Adventure (Super NES, 1 player, 900 Wii Points). I have never heard of this game before, but it looks to be fun. The gameplay reminds me of the Kirby games with the cute character designs and an inverse of Kirby’s fighting system. In DoReMi, the main character blows bubbles that traps the animals and then get knocked into the sky. You know, something about that sounds horribly wrong. Instead of just straight up killing the enemies, you’re caging them and forcing them off into the sky to suffer a slow and painful death.
The second game of the week is Puyo Puyo 2: Tsuu (Sega Genesis, 2 players, 900 Wii Points). Puyo Puyo is a puzzle type game similar to Tetris. You know, if you think about it, this week’s VC releases is all about cute ways to murder. I mean, look at Puyo Puyo! The puzzle pieces are little creatures that are alive! You’re murdering all of those blob creatures to beat the game!
Because of the VC theme of murdering in a cute fashion, I’m giving this week’s releases five out of five sharks. Oh crap, wrong post … Hit the jump for the PR babble.
