Hellboy: The Science of Evil trailer is chock-full of punching

Everyone’s favorite stone-fisted, demonic antihero is following in the grand tradition of superhero adaptations — begin with a cult classic Dark Horse mini-series, follow that up with a film adaptation starring the incredible Ron Perlman, and then continue to make the obligatory licensed action game of uncertain quality, in this case, the oft-delayed Hellboy: The Science of Evil. Our trademark trepidation is somewhat shaken by the above trailer’s God of War-esque combat and frequent quips (delivered by Perlman himself, whose impressive video game repertoire includes voice acting roles in the Fallout and Halo series) — has the ugly duckling we encountered at last year’s E3 undergone a much-needed makeover?
