Nintendo launches WiiWare for the Wii today, making a whopping six titles available.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Square, 1 Player, 1500 Wii Points); LostWinds (Frontier Development, 1-2 players, 1000 Wii Points); Defend your Castle (XGen Studios, 1-4 players, 500 Wii Points); Pop (Nnooo, 1-4 players, 700 Wii Points); V.I.P. Casino: Blackjack (High Voltage Software, Inc., 1-4 players, 700 Wii Points); and TV Show King (Gameloft, 1-4 players, 1000 Wii Points) are all available for download from the Wii Shop Channel today.

Like many of you, I haven’t had a chance to play of these WiiWare titles, so I’m hesitant to pick up any at all. The only one I’m even remotely interested in is the charming looking platformer LostWinds, but without a demo, I’m going to have to take a pass. Surely I can’t be the only one who feels that way, right?

Oh, and there’s no Virtual Console update today, so you’re just going to have to settle for new games you’ve never played instead of old games you can’t quite remember. Full press release with detailed information on all six titles after the jump.
