This, this may actually be the weirdest Rock Band Weekly ever. This week we get a combo platter of Jimmy Buffet and Disturbed. Our brain actually gave up for the rest of the week on this news, so we’ve really got nothing else left to add. But, we have pulled out the crushed ice and lime juice and are ready to waste away the weekend. This gives us hope that one day we’ll get Abba Gold as a DLC album. Harmonix, make it so!
Two packs: Buffet (440 Microsoft Points / $5.50) and Disturbed (240 MS points / $3)
- “Margaritaville” - Jimmy Buffett (160 MS Points / $2)
- “Cheeseburger in Paradise” - Jimmy Buffett (160 MS Points / $2)
- “Volcano” - Jimmy Buffett (160 MS Points / $2)
- “Indestructible” - Disturbed (80 MS Points / $1)
- “Inside the Fire” - Disturbed (80 MS Points / $1)
- “Perfect Insanity” - Disturbed (80 MS Points / $1)
Videos for these tracks can be found after the break (one Disturbed video may be NSFW). DLC will be available next Tuesday and Thursday for Xbox 360 and PS3 respectively.

Microsoft just sent out a press release stating that a video showcasing Too Human’s co-op mode is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Silicon Knights’ president, Denis Dyack, and design director, Henry Sterchi, host the video and explain how the four-player two-player co-op will work.
Of course, if you don’t want to do the whole download thing, we’ve also conveniently placed the video after the break. Be prepared, it’s almost 15 minutes long.

And the Splinter Cell Conviction delay rumor-mill keeps on grinding. The latest non-conclusive statement about the possibility of a Conviction delay was made on the official Ubisoft forums in the form of an open letter from the development team. The group states that development is continuing well and they’ll begin showing the game in the “forthcoming months.”
Rumors of Splinter Cell Conviction’s possible late 2009 -10 delay began after an article was written in Xbox World 360. At the time, Ubisoft just made a “no comment.” Then when the game didn’t get shown at UbiDays, the publisher danced around the issue, but stuck with a release window of this fiscal year (April ‘08 - March ‘09). Well, E3 is in July — also known as a “forthcoming month” — and we’ll be sure to pay attention if Splinter Cell Conviction makes an appearance.

Xbox Live Arcade title Mad Tracks scored a 63 on Metacritic and has been out for exactly one year, which makes it a candidate for potential delisting, but the developer isn’t worried. In an interview with X3F, Load Inc. Business Developer Denis Bourdain stated they’re not worried about it.
“It was news to us,” stated Bourdain, later adding, “our conversion rate is much higher than 6%, but Microsoft remains the only one calling the shots. They could delist Mad Tracks - or decide to keep it.” He also noted that they were making PC games prior to XBLA and that, “you get removed without notice after 6 months in most stores.”
Bourdain also speaks about the potential of developing for PSN, his feelings on the Wii, and their upcoming XBLA title Things on Wheels. Check out the full interview here.
