With the staggering amount of new and exciting games on the horizon, it’s easy for some to get lost in the frenzy. Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is one such title that I personally keep forgetting about, but then perking up in excitement every time I’m reminded. I really must write all these games down in a notebook.

Eidos Interactive’s squad-based shooter promises to be a dark and gritty thriller of a ride, and I’m already sold. Our very own Nex got himself a hands-on with this title at PAX and found a solid title whose reliance on teamwork set it apart from the other third person shooters out there. The ally AI looks somewhat competent and your partners definitely appear to hold their own, so this should be one of the few games that make you feel like a cohesive unit. Throw in the co-op prospects with another human player and this is set to be a winner.

After the jump, there are three more vidoes for you. The nightclub missions looks especially awesome, both in terms of how you move through the crowded area and how the visuals look terrific. I also like how Kane and his pals wear different clothes with each mission. It’s a tiny detail, but I always approve of the simple things. Somebody fetch me that notepad.

November has claimed another big videogame release; Eidos has announced that Kane & Lynch: Dead Men will hit stores on Nov. 20 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

We already knew that our wallets would be raped in the upcoming months, but who would’ve guessed that Kane & Lynch, Mass Effect, and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune would all come out on the exact same day?

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is the work of IO Interactive, the team responsible for the Hitman series and Freedom Fighters. If that isn’t reason enough to get you excited for their latest creation, you’ve probably never played any of the previously mentioned games. Additionally, you can read Nex’s impressions or watch some gameplay clips.

What’s the consensus, Dtoiders? Can you find it in your heart (and wallet) to fit Kane & Lynch into your budget or will you have to get a rain check?

Techland’s up and coming zombie dismantlement simulator caused quite a stir when it was unveiled at the Leipzig Games Convention, due to its smile-inducing two-hit combo of gorgeously idyllic tropical vistas and savagely brutal first-person evisceration of the old brain munchers. It garnered quite a lot interest amongst you guys too when I previewed it, and while a playable version of the game currently still seems a long way off, Dead Island is one I’ve got an excited eye very much glued to.

The game’s site is now up, which bodes well for the progress the currently still-without-publisher title is making, and while it doesn’t yet provide us with anything new in the way of screens or video, it should be a good source of some quality splatter in the coming months while we wait for more news.

With the release of Halo 3 and the new Bomberman Live DLC featuring Destructoid this week, we’ve got a night of non-stop, unadulterated fun ahead of us.

If you’re still lacking in the Xbox 360 department, don’t fret; Warhawk, Motorstorm, Mario Strikers Charged, Universe at War, Team Fortress 2, and Fortress Forever have also made the cut.

Friday Night Fights starts at 10:00 p.m. EST, but most of us regulars will be online long before then. If you are already growing tired of hearing nonsensical rants from the pre-teen Halo fanbase, you won’t want to miss out on FNF.
